Looks totally reasonable to me. Most ones I have seen were just field made pieces, looks to be a Makers code on it as well. Matt

Looks like winter camo cover for Charkow parka to me. All I have seen ( or had ) have had glass buttons, made by JFS in 1942, which were painted white.

Not sure if real, as I never seen any with Rb Nr markings ( only with size markings at best ).

I agree. It is definitely a cover for the charkow parka
Check e.g. the position of the strings at the hood. Only the ss type snow covers have them like that.

            Best regards

Great find! Interesting that it is intended for the Charkov parka which makes it an overgarment for an SS contracted parka...
but this cover has a RBNr so not an "SS-Industrie" made piece. Contracted with a regular (non camp) supplier.
Maybe the thread can be moved to the SS section for more input?

I doubt this topic would get much more attention in the ss section either as this sort of winter gear is not very attractive for most collectors.

I have sold mine in stone mint condition for 500 or 600 euro ( don't reemember exacly ). So IMO in this condition low below that price range.

not too many collectors interest in this sort of item ( most collect only parkas without those winter covers ).
