Question of the Wear of a Steurmann's Badge

    Hello All -

Here's on one of the areas where Anglolia and Davis are a little fuzzy on regulations, so I thought I would ask here. Were officers authorized to wear the Steurmann badge on their tunics? I have not seen any photographs with the badge in wear on an officer tunic. Always NCO's and EM. Anyone out there know?

    As always, any help appreciated!

    Don,

Wish I had the answer to that one. I think I know what you're thinking about, and I was wondering the very same thing.

      Hi Paul -

Apparently, the answer is no. I found a reference in Angolia that says it was approved for wear only by EMs and NCOs who were qualified helmsmen. I doubt that a higher-ranking officer would wear one, particularly one that was of stamped metal.

yes no qualification badges were worn by officers and also no shooting laynyards.

        only NCO and EM.
