When I bought this I only had artificial light so thought it was a Kriegsmarine breast eagle. But once i got it out into the sunlight i began to alter my opinion. What do you folks think?

I bought a ton of things from the estate and if this indeed a repro, it is the only that was. Multiple blades and some insignia, along with a bunch of these Danish patriotic pins.

The daggers are all real, just heavily denazified, sadly.

I agree with Glenn;
The eagle's head seems oddly shaped among other things.
I'd pass on it.

The bird has a very squat appearance that just does not look correct in addition to the odd two hole groupings spaced out as seen on the reverse that would not indicate being on a period tunic. A reproduction to me regardless of the background story.

Good or bad, it certainly is NOT a general's eagle.
