Heer Oberst 8th Infantry boards for review

Also purchased off the Estand recently. The braiding has a goldish-silver tone to it, which I'm not sure is oxidation or something else. It is quite even though. I'm more interested in boards/straps that have the unit number on them as of late, as it tells a tale beyond the unit type.

    As always, comments appreciated!

On structure of a shoulder strap and numbers 8 it is possible to assume that it shoulder straps of the period of Weimar can be probable

A true pair of original early oberst boards with real silver cords. Nice.

Thank you both for your replies. So these are in fact TR, and not Weimar as mentioned above?

In my opinion they are not TR area. They are typical KM officer tabs with missing loops.

IMO they are transitional pieces. I see them on tunic in early 1930s.
