Wow.. what a great thread. Absolutely one of the best I´ve seen on the WAF. This is the kind of stuff I think of before I fall asleep at night

Too bad everything could not be united as a complete grouping (although, truth be told, I would be delighted to own just the wraparound)!

The current owner has provided some additional images for posting.

Shot of von Beschwitz wearing the wrap. Note numbered panzer assault badge and the officer's habitual wear of breeches.

Photo of von Beschwitz (apparently wearing the same wraparound) reviewing soldiers of heavy panzer batallion 505 in Autumn 1944.

Thank you, Mike, for these very cool pictures Wow, men, this is just so unreal, haha! I mean this wrap makes the history to look like it was yesterday! Now imagine if von Beschwitz/the owner of this wrap posted his comments in this thread and told us some stories.. !

                        Great photos.

It appears he is wearing the same jacket and possibly the same breeches in the field, as worn in the studio photo. No doubt taken around the same time.

                          Hi Scott,
Seeing that the man is now in his 90th year maybe your friend could be persuaded for one night only to re-unite the group even virtually?
