Kuligow it was a local 2 day auction by a big name auctioneer. Lots of stuff being sold but he also sold off a German militaria collection from a 30 year collector. Some good stuff, lots of bad stuff. These boots were in a mixed box of stuff with 2 pair of gators, 2 pair of goggles ( ), and a leather pouch.

And yes the goggles arrived. Thanks.

Nice pair of low boots John, That was worth the trip! I herd about the auction a few nice things to keep mostly all stuff for re-sale.

47 pairs of GENUINE,"KOMMIS",WW2-VINTAGE,WH/WSS/LW-Issue M37 and M44 schnuhrschuhe and 30 odd pairs of Bergschuhe must have taught me how to tell good for bad by now.....do a quick search and you'll see for yourself!

P.S.;Knobelbecher,Tropical,Sports and winter footwear bring the total to nearly 290 pairs....I think is enough to allow me and tell a thing or two about WW2 German footwear!

I do not doubt your expertise; I would just like to know what was the tip off? From the very few originals I have seen they looked good to me. I am always open to learning.

As to telling how to tell(pardon the pun!) WH-issue from Swisczecrumanian I won't do that anymore for the life of me thanks to one of our fellow members who behaved in an unsporting manner,and that's the reason why I threw my ready CDs in the garbage can!I'm always ready to help (privately!) my friends here though!
