Strap
I have never seen anything quite like it. The style of embroidery is odd and if black it would be an strange combination with "S3". The basic strap looks okay from the limited photos. For Kav. or Panzer Schuetzen I would expect the strap to be badge cloth usually. Is it pink piped? I can't be sure on my monitor.Attached FilesLast edited by Schulterklappen; 05-31-2018, 07:05 PM.

Looks better in the new photos, but still a little unusual.
I would say Schuetzen (Rifle) Regiment 3, but the S and 3 should be pink like the piping, and it's not the common embroidery - which is usually chain stitched. However, boards with that type of embroidery are encountered, in privately commissioned pieces like through a tailor shop as rbno mentioned.

It has faded but not as bad as the S3.
Shouldn't the S3 be in aluminum? Or did they take their EM board and added tresse with no regard to the S3?
For Unteroffizier rank they used embroidery instead of metal numbers and cyphers.

Anton;
It is a "tailor made" piece, probably for a Waffenrock. (it's a sew in)
The fading of the embroidery is common on these straps;
apparently the dye is absorbed differently on the embroidery thread
than the piping.
The major anomaly is the configuration of the "S3" embroidery;
IMO, this is the tailors rendition of what it should look like, probably
not having an example to go by.
I like it!
