Panzer collar tab opinions ?

is it the real deal ?

Hard to judge. The tab appears to be an early one and the skull is a late war original (zinc). At least both dont match each other.

This leaves ne a bit puzzled. I have been told by quite a few people that the skull is a fake ?

no. the skull is a late war original. Seldom seen on period wraps - nowadays not that seldom. I think most of them were dicovered in hort finds.

thanks. It comes from a reputable source, so i couldent imagine it to be a fake either.

The 2 prong skills *may* be original but I have never seen an original wrap with original insignia wartime applied with 2 prong skulls.
