IDEL-URAL bevo shield & Pic

Here is a new acquisition for my shield collection.They both came together I don't think the shield has been used but is dirty from storage or moderate use maybe.
Does anyone have a used example they can show?

I agree with your assessment. I have never seen a used one and I have been looking for one for at least a decade.

Very nice and seldom seen...This is a cropped image of foreign volunteers being introduced to Propaganda ReichsMinister Goebels.
The Idel-Ural shield looks big and is more likely the printed one.
What is interesting of course is that this Osttruppen soldat is wearing a pre war waffenrock (phased out during the war) with such a shield.
(note the shoulderstrap has an embroidered acypher even!)

What do you think the cypher could be?.
Are the boards osttruppen or just part of the waffenrock before the shield was added.

I have a hunch it is a loaner uniform for the occasion (in Berlin) with shield added. His uniform might not have met the Propaganda standards
that they were looking for in the photo shoot with Goebels...(too worn out...shabby looking)
and the embroidered shoulderstrap cypher on the waffenrock has nothing to do with any Idel Ural units!

Btw I was wrong about the measurements, now looking at my 2 examples...The BeVo shield is actually bigger...
Could it be another BeVo in wear? I believe so!!!

Your hunch makes a lot of sense, I hadn't thought of that.
It's a good possibility it is a bevo rather than a printed shield.
Your wallonie shield looks very nice
