Heer trapezoid cap insignia for review

I've been looking for a picture of this particular insignia online and have yet to match it up.

I notice the "odd" detailing around the swas.

Thoughts on authenticity, and if so, what particular area did this belong to?

Not sure why the pictures are rotated. They are straight up and down on my PC.

Anyone in the Heer wearing an enlisted man's M-43 cap might have worn this. There is also an officer's version of this done in a white/silverish thread eagle and border outline.
