Here is a single Ive had, light green piping, has corduroy material to outer tongue, wish I knew where the mate to this one was.

That looks like the material used for the first pattern breeches.

Nice strap, gotta love the corduroy. There are whipcord breeches dated 1940-42. So likely tropical straps were made with this corduroy material during that period.
