Short zeltbahn trouser

I found a short field-made trouser made from a zeltbahn.

Are there any pictures from these trousers wearing by German soldiers in the summer?

Things like this were mostly made after the war as the shelter quarters were readily available for making clothing when textiles were in short suppy. It was forbidden to destroy issue equipment but it was done during the war. It is always hard to know when these were made. I have never seen wartime images of shorts like this being worn.
