IMO the best books relating to Foreign Volunteer insignia is the out-of-print David Littlejohn's FOREIGN LEGIONS OF THE THIRD REICH (Vol I-IV). Please check my bibliography link it has most of the books relating to foreign volunteers.

I agree with the above about Littlejohn, there are some other ones that are nice too but that is the best. There also is a section in the back of the second volume of the Angolia/Schlicht 3 volume set on the Heer.
