    Panzer wrap opinions welcome

I bought this many years ago. (around 96-97). An odd one. Any input and or opionions are welcome. The neck hooks have been ripped out. Markings similar to Russian markings. Looks like some traces where breast eagle could have been attached, and shadow on left arm for a chevron? Still tread showing smaller collarpatches. Seller at that time claimed it came from a theater costume warehouse in the former DDR. (Frankfurt an der Oder area) I can post closeups on request.

Could it possibly be worn by a German garbage collector?

Seller might have been right. Seems industrially produced garment, modified to look like a Panzer wrap. Might have been a coat originally.

Ouch, harsh language dear fellow Norwegian.

I am aware of it being an odd ball, no need to be rude. I've been collecting for 40 +years (Norwegian air force 1912-45 and Luftwaffe in Norway), but no Panzer items, except a HG sidecap.

Personally I believe it to be an filmprop or theater costume. (DDR?) It is mostly well made. Fabric is very soft. Do not believe it being a resewn coat. I am impressed that they have put so much details into it. I belive it to be quite old. (60-70's) It is not artificial aged (I know how that looks like). I was mainly curious if anybody seen or have a similar one.

                Thanks

It is not a pre 45 Wrap, but not that bad done, there are much more Crap out there. This one here as you stated correct is in my Opinion used as Prop for Movie or Theater, and they do had some good Tailors who put something together what looks anytime on the Moviescreen fine. For someone who not collect uniforms enough to fool.....as Prop i would it buy anytime.

                    Agree

I'll keep it as a prop.
