The tab looks a bit anorexic don't you think?

Also, the use of silver wire (apparently) for highlighting would seem to be a violation of design rules, would it not?

anorexic Is a key word.. Asymmetrical..Never good either, not even mentioning how's it's been cut short and the trunk not even paralell.

If real which is doubtful, it must have been sown by amateur.

IMO The general's shoulder strap from a сelony cord looks good

In my opinion, boards are textbook, tabs could have a chance but not really the quality whitch I would see on a generals tunic. The tunic is put together!

With respect, I find it hard to believe these tabs were constructed with period unterlagen.

Boards look OK to me. Not a fan of the tabs for reasons already mentioned.

Rick, with respect, not every general officer must have the same paper underlay.
There were certainly different manufacturers and, above all, there were also foreign manufacturers, especially from France, etc. which have deviated significantly from the German manufacturers.
I don't say they are 100% original, but I would also not say "no fake!!!"

However as I said, I expect a much better quality for a general uniform.

                    Best,
