    Sonderführer (?) Insignia Question

All, when the Wehrmacht eagle is present on a Sonderführer uniform, what, exactly, does that mean? Or is it a Beamte auf Kriegsdauer? The tunic has a gray collar.

    Any help appreciated!

The eagle insignia designates specialist administrative officials called Kriegs-Militärverwaltungsbeamte. They mostly worked in occupied countries under control of the WH. It probably is not a Sonderfuhrer tunic but has a dove grey or light blue collar which is correct for these officers.

I posted one on the forum several years ago that shows the collar color but cannot find the thread now. It is discussed the the Angolia Schlicht Heer book in Volume Two after HV and wartime officials

If you have more photos of this rare uniform, can you please post them?

Very nice. I saw that for sale. The collar color is correct for this branch. It can be almost dove grey all the way to almost LW blue like was usad for Sonderfuhrer.

Great piece. Love the Italian tailoring...pocket construction and low cuffs...
Narrow collar also looks very unGerman...Croatian made German uniforms have similar collars.

Possibly an M34 Italian Army WW2 officers’ tunic that was retailored: narrow false French cuffs, patch pleated pockets with round corners and wide edge, square pocket flaps are the same. Italian Army WW2 officers’ tunics had a four-button closure and an open neck. In the top pic of post #6 and in the bottom pic of post #7 you can notice the original lapels unfolded and the collar necessairily modified to a small stand-and-fall style (covered with blue-gray cloth). I’ve already got two tunics modified this way, one German Army officers’ and the other converted to an M44 RSI Army.
Nevertheless a lovely , genuine tunic I'd prefer to a textbook one.

I was wondering that myself, Marco, after I did a little online research on Italian tunics.

                              Very nice uniform Don!

I'll have to bring my HV tunic over and we can have a discussion about Wehrmacht REMF's.

Although mine is pretty much text book. Interesting aside: not long after I bought it I stumbled across a studio photo of Eva Braun and her parents in a book. Her father was wearing an identical HV tunic! Same rank and everything.
