Grey knit scarf, original?

Could you guys tell me of this knit scarf is original German WWII? They came to the market many years ago but I never was 100% sure about them being wartime. Size is 36 x 109 cm with a small blue stripe. They are also pictured in Saiz book.

I wouldn't use a 'Deutsche Soldaten' book ( written by Augustin Saonz ) as reference book ( as ypu do now ) as there a plenty of mistakes and unintentional ( or intentional ) distorstion regarding soldier personal equipment ( he mentioned book has a lot more of mistakes than many others ).

The author shows a lot of postwar items a wartime items, which could ( and often do ) mislead beginers.
There are many much better books than the one mentioned above.
