Tape tongue shoulder straps

Hello,

A friend picked these up off of ebay this last week. They were sold by a reputable seller who had some other very nice straps.

These are a pair of tape tongue boards. There is quite a bit of discussion about this pair and mainly towards the tongues themselves. They are Gabardine with a rayon piping. I would love to hear some opinions out there from other collectors on these. Thanks.

We spoke with owner about these straps and my opinion is fake. IMO green strap is czech postwar with nylon inside. You can see it on borded of strap and also button holes are odd.

I am not totally convinced by these. These straps used to be extremely rare; they are more common today

The uneven stitching along the edge and contorted shape look very suspect in addition to other details.
