Flatwire Panzer officers eagles opinions

Hi Guys,

A member here has pmed me stating that he believes the panzer eagles I have on the estand are repros- I am awaiting the reasons why he believes this but in the meantime thought it would be worth posting a thread for opinions on originality.

I can not see how these could be copies- they conform to everything I expect in period 1st pattern eagles.

From what I have observed there must have been several makers of 1st pattern eagles as some small variations in design do exist. I have also found this exact same version in green sewn on backing wool for the Waffenrock- it has a distinctive flaw to the fletching on the left wing.

Please would you be so kind as to give me your opinions?

Hello,

Your panzer flatwire eagles are 1000000000% original. All you have to do is look at the construction of the rear of these, even if you didn't accept the front, and see that they are period manufacture.
