Some Heer Shoulder Straps, Collar Tab and an Eagle

    Good day folks

Before I post these for sale I'd like some opinions. I think they are all OK but the officer's board with the P is a puzzle to me. I think it may be Imperial. Am I correct?

    Thanks for your comments.

    Regards

    James

The strap that puzzles me. Is it Imperial?

Incidentally the black bar above the P is a WW1 Iron Cross ribbon bar with the silver stripe coloured over. I wonder why it is there?

    Thanks

      Board

I believe it is an Imperial board and definitely not 1933-1945. I have seen boards and straps that have been "embellished" in such a fashion. This could have been done by (a) the original owner (b) an Allied veteran that picked it up or a family member (c) a collector at some point.

        Thanks I will.

Have I correctly identified the others as Heer? From the left.

        Medical Captain

        Artillery NCO

        Cavalry NCO

Looking at the photos again I wonder if they may be Luftwaffe?

        Thanks

          Imperial

Yes, your "P" shoulder board has the stylized "P" of the imperial Oldenburg Inf. Regt. 91. There is a metal crown above the letter (separate piece) that is absent where the EK ribbon currently is.

Thanks Laurence. I got that wrong didn't I!

But I have identified the other two correctly haven't I?

Anyone got a spare crown for the imperial strap?

              Regards

The 2 boards in the middle are definitely LW - Flak and Flight/paratrooper.
