Several days ago I put a few Gebirgsjaeger Edeweiss's on the Forum. I forgot to ask why the difference between the smaller zinc version and the standard larger version. What is the smaller version? It has got two prongs for attachment but NOT any holes for sewing on to a cap. I cannot find any similar smaller badges for reference. I have attached both examples for a comparison.
