IMO a good one ...
An unissued gorget , so no unit numbers attributed and put in position !

It may be a red flag that the chain shows wear and rust while the gorget is pristine.

It's very simply. Try how long emits the light. On post war pieces was using phosphorous compound, which emits light maybe one hour at the best. On period gorgets was using Stroncium compound, which emits light for hours and also color is slightly different. Plus if you have access to dosimeter period gorgets emits radioactivity, because of Stroncium.
