    Snipers badge

    Greetings All,

On another forum an individual posted a photo of the Sharpshooters insignia in gold and silver made in a BeVo material. I am very unfamiliar with these made in BeVo! The only ones that I have seen are embroidered and fake. Does any one have originals and repros to post. Were they made in BeVo and embroidered? I would love to see some images.
    Thank You

Bevo types are all post war fakes. I believe I saw them, on rolls, at the SOS for $25 each.

The authentic sniper patch is machine embroidered.

What i knew, no sniper where wearing that bagde, because when the russians
identified a soldier as sniper, he was tortured and killed.

Before that bagde was awarded, the snipers had small silver stripes on the
            sleeves.

That is one nice tunic. I cannot verify the badge... but I would not want to be captured with that badge!!!

Can you post a close up that shows the stitching on the two patches?

                      Thanks

                          John,

Like 2 peas in a pod, they are about identical. A wonderful original sniper's badge you have.
