Of course it doesn't always have to be Pioneer, my favourite Waffenfarbe is red for Artillery, and the GAB is still good for Artillery!

I found this pair with a similar tarnish (but not as close as the Pioneer straps) for a reasonable match. Thanks to Mario Hiscoll for this pair!

Of course the Pioneer straps will always be the pair to stay with it.

I think these straps have always been a pair, but you can see the different scrap material used on each tongue, whatever was close to hand when they were made no doubt.

Drei Kameraden!

My three mid-late war Heer tunics.

It's taken a while for me to get the three mid-late war types (M42, M43, M44), but now I have and it has a certain satisfaction as all collectors can no doubt understand!

The pockets of the M42 were a little bulky so I emptied them before taking the above pictures. As you can see I have a slight 'problem' with shoulder straps...

The belt buckle is an "ESL 43" with a (late-war?) dark feldgrau color. A few more pictures here:-

The fun is over, it's back onto the hanger and into the Tyvek (waterproof, dust-proof, moth-proof, breathable, museum approved etc) bag for safe keeping. One day when I can move one of the little people out I might get my 'man cave' back to display it all properly. That's the plan anyway!

You recognise Hermann! The 'Hermann' is my favourite of the Webster torso figures, I believe the face was modelled on a Third Reich period RZM approved mannequin (think I read that somewhere) - so period correct!
