Hi, just have a quick question. Was the M42 tunic worn by heer soldiers? I have looked, and I find very little heer m42 tunics, compared to the m40 and m43's. I think that the m42 was more of a SS tunic, right?

Ok, well, yes, I have seen the pictures too. But I have also seen a lot more of heer soldiers wearing m36, m40, and m43. Besides, whenever I look at the repro tunics, there are very few m42's with 6 buttons.Originally posted by pauke View PostComment

Ok. So, I see that ATF has a M42 tunic. The problem is, it is a 5 button front. Would this be ok for a heer tunic?Comment

No, that is an SS M42 tunic. Heer M-42 had 6 button fronts.
