Does this tunic eagle look like it's ever been replaced. It kind of looks like the stiching may have been war time repaired at one time? Let me know what you think.

I appreciate the comments on the eagle. What type of stich method was used on these HBT tunics? This tunic has the four pleated pockets. I've seen zigzag, straight machine stich, some even machine stiched on the top and then hand stiched around the sided and the bottom of the eagle. Does anybody know what type of stich would have been used for this style of tunic? Is it the color of thread that is a giveaway?Last edited by stephen grund; 08-15-2017, 12:44 AM.

How can you tell? People commenting but nobody has explained why? It just looks like a worn eagle to me that's been repaired in a few spots. When I get it I will take a good look with a magnifying glass to see if I see extra holes anywhere. The one thing that has me baffled is how the wear on the rear of the eagle,on the tunic, looks like it's been there forever. The wear on the tunic looks like it matches up perfectly with the applied eagle? Can somebody explain that?Last edited by stephen grund; 08-16-2017, 12:01 PM.
