    Aserbaidschan cut-off shields

These two came from the same source and originate from the US. There was a third one in this group in BeVo but that one was separated and has a different owner now. Both are printed variations and were very likely captured at the same time from the same unit. Interestingly one is hand sewn and the other machine sewn. The machine sewn shield is attached in a way I have not seen before on sleeve shields. It is very carefully sewn also across the shield giving it a nice puffy appearance.

unless there are really glaring things wrong it can sometimes be hard to authenticate the worn printed examples..
On your 2 printed examples, you can see there are 2 different print screens used or from 2 different manufacturers.. So hopefully you'll get some real experienced members on these printed examples.
The eagle and bevo shield look ok. I'd rather have those two then the 2 printed pieces. But to each his own, good hunting, keep it going..!!

Thank you for your comments. Although I collect (used) volunteer shields for some years now I am always open for more experienced opinions but for me the two posted shields are unquestionably original. Although I find (used) BeVo examples more attractive, I think used printed ones have comparable historic value. As said, there was a Bevo one in the group but it got separated unfortunately. It was sold on the WAF by a fellow memder about a year ago.

                        Very nice shields gentlemen.
I agree that the printed shields are difficult to dig through. Especially when sewn onto fabric. Here is my example.

Nice shields. I really like the one that has stitching going through the flag - uncommon, but looks period made to me.
