    Looks like it's from a NCO with the tress missing. Opinions,

    Hello Steve,

    This is a sleeve end cut off of an Infantry NCO's waffenrock. Minus the tress.

      It must have been a sad day for souvenir taking if a soldier could only get the cuff off a Waffenrock.

        Thanks for the confirmation of authenticity! If I do buy this, is it worth my time to re-sew on some original tress? Or should I just leave it as is?

              More often these are from the jackets being reworked to be made into service tunics following the regulations after 1939 or from the jackets being taken apart after the War to be reused for civilian clothing.
