I would welcome the opinions of the forum please, is this panzer wrap-over tunic an original wartime item or post war fake?

It has obvious signs of wear, loss of cloth nap, dirty cuffs, button-hole wear. etc. Also clear stitch threads and fresh cloth nap indicating where the breast eagle (triangular shape), collar patches, and sleeve chevron were once attached.

The lining is in a cream coloured silk. All the correct size and type buttons remain, internal belt, and loops for the shoulder straps.

If you require images of specific areas of the tunic please ask, as I have the item on approval for a few days.

      Thank you for looking, Keith

The quality of the photos does not allow an accurate opinion. I am usually suspicious of excessive soiling and staining.

From those pictures, I would not be comfortable owning it.

I do not feel good about this one's chances for several reasons.

Thank you all for your advice not to buy.

Please explain, so I will know next time, exactly what is wrong with this tunic?

                            Many thanks, Keith

Keith, for me, the lining does not look like anything I have seen on an original.
