        I'd say it's a faded and toned earlier Heer officer's eagle.

          I agree with Don, but it could also be an coast artillery admin bird.
          However what a pitty for the moth damages.

            I also agree with Don and Steiner. Early eagle in really bad shape, but a period eagle. Smitty.
