Original with the nice heavy embroidery "GD". Here are some other "tape-tongue" examples. It is interesting that, while they made the manufacturing process more economical, they kept the nicer looking cypher.

Nice original board dating to the early middle or middle war period 1942-43. These are not "late war" boards as many collectors wrongly believe.
