Panzer Lehr Division Insignia and Equipment

Does anyone know where Panzer Lehr Division-specific insignia and equipment can be purchased?
- "L" Cyphers
- Collar tabs
- Quality Panzer jackets and trousers

Also, are there any experts on Panzer Lehr insignia and gear?

Panzer Lehr

Are you talking about reproductions? As to collar tabs, Panzer Lehr Divison did not wear anything specific to identify them as a Lehr unit. It was standard Heer Kragenspiegel. Panzergrenadier Lehr Rgt. 901 and 902 were organic to the Panzer Lehr Divison and were thought to wear green piped shoulder straps with an embroidered "L" for enlisted personnel. (I think there are pictures from Normandy to bear this out). I have seen pink piped Lehr boards and straps, with a bi-colored loop on them, that have been attributed to Panzer Lehr Regiment 130 (from the Panzer Lehr Divison).

Also, one thing to remember, is that there are multiple Lehr units and not just the Panzer Lehr Division.

Any type of original enlisted to Unteroffizier, with an embroidered "L" is desirable and is usually snapped up quickly when offered for sale. Also, with them being a popular collector item, they are faked quite a bit.

The L cypher was used as mentioned before for other units. I own a named pioneer tunic with the L cypher. In my tunic it means that he was involved on a teaching unit. The photos does not capture the nice patina of his shoulder boards
