There are a few modifications, but they look original to me.

Very nice. They are altered from factory issue as mentioned but all period done IMO. They did this very often to the ankle area with the elastic.

I agree with the other comments.

I will also say that the photos do not show the seat very well, but it appears like they removed the extra cloth sewn to the seat and crotch area. Since the other modifications seem to make these trousers more comfortable for dress/walking-out purposes, it would make sense that they removed this extra cloth too.
