    HBT uniform for review please

Got a call the other day and met a gentlemen that wants to sell some items he inherited from an uncle. His uncle was not a veteran but did find this hobby very interesting and collected pits and pieces over the years until his passing. There are some badges that I will post on the proper forums as well.

These are from his collection. I just have no clue as to it being an original with original re-applied insignia or all junk. I do like the stitching for the collar tabs and feel that's a step in the right direction but the eagle and the shoulder boards with slip on GD tabs all look like crap. I am leaning towards the GD cuff title being fake and added at some time as well.

    Lets here your opinions

    Thank you in advance.

Tunic appears original. Eagle is a copy. GD Slides never existed during wartime. Boards are probably original but are either tailor made or have had attaching straps added. Cufftitle appears to be recently applied. So altogether an original tunic that has been humped up with GD insignia.

                Hello,

                Totally agree with the above.

I agree with the above=Monkey's uncle. Someone pretty much destroyed a really nice low production moleskin lightweight tunic.

I agree with the others; this was an original stripped tunic which has been ineptly restored. I am sure we would have preferred to see a tunic like this one (rare moleskin type) with appropriate insignia attached.
