Need some help here,a friend of mine has this reversible two pockets Gebirgsjäger anorak,I have never seen this model before,only the 3 pockets model,anyone here familiar with this model.

Looks like a heavily modified 3-pocket Windbluse. The center pocket and the neck flap that covers the laces have been removed. The lower portion of the anorak has been shortened also.
The Gebirgsjägers did use two-pocket anoraks and various other mountaineering anoraks early on. The 3-pocket Windbluse/Windhose set came out in mid-1942 during the Caucasus campaign.
