Sometimes they removed the lower pockets and wore these HBT's a shirts that could be tucked in...unusual but it was done...
It sure looks like the lower pockets were removed a very long time ago since the fading is equal...

Probably was used by a POW or a civilian after the war as a work jacket and the insignia was post war replaced.Comment

worn and heavily used post war and then insignia replaced after that. Id just run away, HBT stuff is pretty common. MattComment
