Help With Group of Edelweiss Patches

Gents, I was rooting thru some stuff in the back of my collection closet and I came across this small bundle of Edelweiss patches - 10 in a packet and retaining some thread binding them together. For the life of me I cannot recall how I came to have them. Any help on authenticity and value would be greatly appreciated. thanks Rich

They look like very nice originals to me, still bound from the factory.

        regards, Robert

          Hello,

These are a contentious piece of insignia to some insignia collectors. Some believe that they are good WWII pieces just manufactured very late in the war and others think complete fakes. Some believe that there are originals that were made in this pattern(fieldgrey) and are a bit better quality than the repros.

I haven't seen period photos of the patch in wear.

            Mail Order

I have the exact same set of patches. I don't recall exactly where I got them but I seem to recall I purchased them 20-30 years ago from a militaria mail order company I found in the back of a WWII history magazine.
