I have no reason to think that its fake but you never know. I have had this in my collection for many years.

Interesting, I see the bullion and embroidered version but hardly ever the metal version ???

If you go back through the threads here on WAF it is usually bullion and the odd embroidered but I am really struggling to see metal examples,

Hello Chris;
Here is a photo of mine.
There are 4 metal examples, 3 bullion, remainer assorted backings.
TOP ROW:
metal on dark green, bullion on dark green, gray thread on dark green, same with integral piping, gray thread on dark green twill, Metal on Luftwaffe blue gray with soutache piping.

MIDDLE ROW:
metal on field gray, varient bullion on field gray, bullion on field gray, gray thread on
barient field gray material, metal on Tropical OD with cord edging.

There are other examples I don't have (possibly on splinter camo, green HBT,
black, usw.)

They were fun to collect and I'm always looking for variations I don't have.

Many thanks for the replies/ help on this one and the images of the metal types.

I got a metal version complete with cloth backing some years ago but had struggled to find good images of other metal examples.

Will add an image of mine here when I am in a position to do so,
