Thank you for the new comparisons with artillery boards,

I am seeing red now. Just goes to prove the challenge of judging form a computer image verses holding the item in hand.

Very nice boards and an interesting unit/ part of history

No problem Chris! It is probably the combination of inferior lighting, a not too perfect camera and then viewed via a monitor that makes it hard to judge.

it has reinforced what you were saying about the board from the start and exactly what great piece of history you now have in your hands.

The initial challenge for me was possible range of pinks out there and who else could have 280 on their shoulder boards.

Computers can be deceptive things but red is just that, "red"
