    tropical straps ?

    Here is a set of tropical straps for sale, what do you think ?

      Hi Tim.
      I like the set shown here. I see nothing wrong based on these photos. I would prefer to see a close up on the backing of the tongues though to be 100% but so far so good.

      Those on the link on the contrary do not look ok IMO. The buttonholes of the tongues are not what i would expect to see but most importantly i don't like the cotton twill and their shape.

        Thanks for the reply. Yes would like a clear picture of the tongue backing. Agree they are fairly well made and the buttonholes on the transport look pretty good. Had forgotton but both these sets have been reviewed here before as another member has sent me this link from a thread started by another Chris, 90thLT. They were declared bad in this thread.

        My point is they are joined at the underside much further from the joint ? Anyone have an original set with this phenomenon ? Have only seen this on modern fakes.

          Thanks for the links. I still like the transport pair. My only setback is the backing of the tongues. In the photo above it looks like green linen but i am not very sure since the photo is not a close up.
