Hello,
some time ago I bought a named tunic for a DKiG winner - Ernst Roembke.
The tunic was tailored for him as an ensign, having been upgraded later with reconnaissance boards of a Rittmeister.
Seems that even he later was attached to another branch that he kept his yellow Waffenfarbe as the tunic is well worn.
Roembke was born 28-09-1919.
Started his career in the Kavallerie-Schuetzenregiment 4, later SR4 and SR 114 which became Panzergrendier-Regiment 114, attached to the 6th Panzer-Divison.
Roembke fought in the relieve of Stalingrad and got his EBS for bravery during the Battle of Kursk.
He later became commander of a battalion in the Mot. SR 1031 which was renamed Panzer-Gren Rgt. 128
He is listed at KIA as Major on 2nd February 1945, Gyoer, Hungary (near of Budapest)
I hope you like it
