    Waffenrock for your review...

    Howdy,

I'm looking to purchase this Waffenrock and I'm pretty sure it is a great original example, but I would appreciate a few extra opinions just to confirm that everything looks legit.

Also, the seller is asking $550, is that a reasonable price?

    Thank you!
    Jason

The asking price is within the reasonable market value for this waffenrock but probably a bit negotiable.

The Army marksmanship lanyard is a West German lanyard with a TR badge added.

            Jason,

This is a well worn example and as Tim said, definitely negotiate the price. I'm thinking $475.00.

Can you post a close up of the breast eagle.

I appreciate your feedback Mark and Tim. I've also attached a close-up of the breats eagle and the lanyard. Thanks again!

                Jason,

Hard to tell with the picture you posted, but it appears the breast eagle was post war applied and as Tim mentioned earlier, the Schützenschnur is not a TR example. The shield attached looks original, but the lanyard is not.

Thanks again Mark, I believe I'm going to pass on this Waffenrock.

                    Jason,

I think passing on this tunic is a wise move. Infantry waffenrocks are the most plentiful and nicer examples are available.
