GD Slip-on Cyphers

So like many here I always scoffed at the notion of a slip-on embroidered cypher for GD, until I ran across this photo. Out of respect to the owner I am only posting a cropped image

This clearly looks like a slip-on cypher based on the piece of angular cloth popping off of the top of the strap near the button. On the wearer's right strap you can see a shadow caused by a void in where the slip-on has raised off of the face of the strap. The light area below the cypher is the tongue lining material that has become visible due to the beefing-up of the wool on the strap by the slip-on.

What do you think - am I just misinterpreting the pic, or is this some groundbreaking s..t?

The strap is a bit folded , giving the impression you have a GD slip on ?
