Sumpftarn Smock - Original?

Here's another of my purchases from the early '90s. It's a sumpftarn smock that's been modified with loads of foliage loops. It was picked up from my regular contacts in Linz and I've always been happy with the smock itself, but occasionally wondered when the loops were added. Is there anything here about either the smock or the loops that raises red flags?

IMO a nice original. I have never seen the loops before. Original or postware added, no way to tell I gues.

Yes - the seller suggested that a sniper might have added the loops, but it didn't affect the price which was very affordable. I was travelling on a shoestring, with my girlfriend keeping a close eye on my expenditure!

Either a sniper or a very cautious grenadier! With the item in hand, the loops do look period and, at the very least, give the smock real character.
