    DAK set for review

This is a part of a large set of one officer wich was for sale. Unfortunately i bought, only a part of the set.(This it wat is present on photos).
Out of these things i have to this set a scarf, and a two photos of the officer in africa.
The three uniforms, caps, shoes, documents, and the two albums from africa was alredy sold
The seller have a two greatcoats from this officer, one africa, but has a lot of mouse holes, photo album with almost 300 photos from europe and the new shoes in a box.
The interesting thing is that the officer wear the stockings wich i present on photos.
    Opinions welcome

The eagle application is not typical and almost certainly postwar. The low shoes are very odd as well (again not typical). Red flags are present.

I will glad to know whay You don't like the application of an eagle? And why You dont like the boots? Everybody knows that the textbook eagle is sewn little lower , but sewn height does not matter to me becouse it hapends like this also.
If that's what You thinking about

        Werfer Rgt. 71

It looks like it is supposed to be from Werfer Rgt. 71 which served in Africa and Italy.

Eagle looks like fake to me ( four feathers instead of five ). The low boots are ITALIAN climbing boots as far as I know.

the eagle is oryginal my frend, and this shoes are not italian, and are not suitable for the mountains, they are made for tropic. And please next time if You not shoure or You don't know, make some search in the net before You write.

                Hello,

The eagle appears to be a nice original with a flaw in the weaving. The application is sketchy to me.

Please take a look on the collar, it's been
sewn with the same thread as an eagle been sewn
The thread it's darker in live

Early 1st pattern tropical tunic with Nebel officer insignia ? Sloppy French cuffs, Eagle application screams Post War. And with the same thread used to apply the tabs post war as well, & the boards do not inspire confidence that they have been there for 70 years....

From the photos without actual provenance it's a stripped EM tunic put together to look like an officer to the 71st Nebel Regt.

It would be interesting to see the lining and inside of the tunic.

Modified EM/ NCO tunic or tailor made for an officer later during the war in first pattern style or post war fake ???

Same thread appears to have been used for the underside of the collar, officer collar tabs and the breast eagle ???

Short coming of computer images verses hands on inspection ???

Something feels unusual/ uneasy with this one ???

The tropical eagle with weaving flaw is a first for me, would need to see a clear close up of that to say more,

                      Chris

p.s. post number 7 shows a comparison of tropical cap eagles

First and the most ; If I were you I wouldn't suggest someone who, probably, have more experience in collecting german militaria that he should shut up ( this how your statement looks like ).

Other thing ; the boots you presenting as german tropical doesn't have cut, sewing and construction for typical german boots ( but have cut, sewing and construction very similar to italian boots - for example black thread used to made the boots which is very typical for italian manufacture and not typical for german manufacture).

Well I never had a four feather tropical eagle ( always 5 feathers ) . and what about this particular characteristic - never ever seen this kind of feature in any orginal tropical egale - the big/wide/fat feather ( marked in circle ). All orginal I had and have seen had have feathers of the same size.

The pic of the 3 eagles from the Warrelics site are cap eagles.
Thats why they have 4 segments.

They are not breast eagles which have 5 segments.
