Unused breast eagles

Hello,
Just wanted to show this pair of breast eagles I picked up recently at a gun shop. They were sold in a grouping of repro insignia so I got a good price.

Thanks to Fred for looking at the website for me and identifying the best deal they had. I bet he thinks I'm going to buy him champagne at the next SoS!

Excellent textbook panzer eagles, Dale. Always nice to find some genuine good pieces mixed in with repro stuff. Fred has helped me a lot too, his knowledge of cloth insignia is second to none.

Thanks Mark but they are just standard heer eagles; the photos just turned out a bit dark. I got them for $25, so if they had been panzer I probably would buy Fred some champagne!

Hi Dale,

D'oh!!! That's my fifty year-old eyes letting me down! I collect cloth eagles, and I really like the M36 second pattern eagles. Panzer (white on black), army (white on dark green), Navy (yellow on dark navy blue) and coastal artillery (yellow on dark green) are all very striking visually. Nice eagles!

If Fred was bought a drink by everyone who has had help from him, he would be in intensive care !!! I met up with Fred when he was in London a couple of years ago, that was a blast, and I can report that he is partial to a decent beer (not the standard mass-produced dreck). Just a tip for anyone wanting to show appreciation!
