    Printed POA Collar Tabs

    Hello,

We have seen the printed foreign volunteer sleeve shields, but I have not seen these type POA collar insignia before. From the material and printing, these look like original insignia.

Note the bleed-through on the back, and base material which matches the sleeve shield stuff perfectly.

Has anyone ever seen this type insignia before?

    regards, Robert

        The ROA-type collar-tabs...

        Dear Robert,

I have seen these printed-examples before and they are IMO 100% genuine and period. They also existed in BeVo-woven format....

        Best regards,

        Coco

Thanks for posting, Coco - yours looks like an exact match for mine. You are right on the bevo, which I consider a little more common than the printed types. Here's a bevo pair.

I believe both types were issued and worn, though most of the examples found today are mutli-piece construction and sadly, quite modern.

                  Hello gents,

I recently acquired these pieces. Happen to have any of the period pictures of these printed tabs in use that I can add to my library?

Very interesting pieces that I had no idea existed until today.

                  Thanks in advance

                  Matt

I have not found any period photos; finding good enough quality images of these tabs in wear to determine if they are printed or bevo may be a challenge.

                    Nice tabs, though - congratulations!

                    regards, Robert

Love the Cossack tabs. Unfortunately I only have a single. Jim

Thanks guys I’m very happy with the ones I just purchased. On telling the difference between the printed and bevo tabs, I find that not to be the true issue as the circle is of different sizes with the bevo circle being smaller than the printed circle respectively, the issue is a clear picture that is definitely not a button on the collar. Posting pictures for reference. IMG_0573.JPG

                          Printed POA Collar Tabs

I was sent this picture by a good friend that clearly shows the bevo officers tab in wear. Also interesting the officers tab but em boards, something I didn’t expect to see.

Now just to try and find a definitive printed tab in wear......

Comparison pictures next to a Printed POA shield. I’m very happy with my purchase.
