Feldmarschall board

Hi Guys

I have this rather unusual shoulder board with attached early crossed batons device which are silvered brass. The piping is obviously unusual in that the silver braid is basket weave although I am sure I have seen this on some original straps previously.

I really like the red cloth and have owned original generals collar tabs in this weave previously.

What do you think? Reichswehr period for the board perhaps? Device good or bad?

thanks, I thought the board was earlier rather than late- late would be celleon or open type basket weave??
