    Here is my run of Gebirgsjäger Tunics.

    First up....my Hauptmann tunic made out of Feldgrau Whipcord material:

      Next in the line-up....der Oberfeldwebel. This is a modified captured tunic. I haven't been able to positively identify, but I think it may be a Dutch Tropical Wool Tunic for their Dutch East Indies troops. Anyone have any thoughts on this....maybe Bart?

          Grüß Gott Gebirglers (Mountain Dwellers to you flatlanders),

          Here is where some of the confusion with Gebirgsjäger Green Waffenfarbe comes into play. These swatches show the variations within the same branch. Also notice that Panzer Grenadiers also share the same colors. The various shades are due to the varying dye lots, production processes and of course the supply chain. I don't think the supply NCO was inspecting which shade of green piping was coming in and being issued to the troops.
