    Thank you Nick,

good question as to the pocket bags, dont know at the moment. Will check tomorrow, but I think they dont have them.

What about the RBNr. ? Officially produced then ? I was always thinking they were all field made ?

    Thanks, Jens

ital camo had rbnr stamped when used by germans to make zeltbahns. maybe these pants were a zelt.

        The FP n° on the box 30791 could be (12.3.1943-7.9.1943) 14.(Panzerjäger) Kompanie Grenadier-Regiment 267.

        http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...nter/GR267.htm

The 2 swords with a point are the divisional Kennzeichen for 94.Infanterie Division before its destruction in Stalingrad.

        http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...ionen/94ID.htm

The new division raised in 1943 had only 1 sword with a point for Kennzeichen.

Steiner you are right about the RBNr. on Zelts made of ital. Camo but in this case the number is on the backside of the camo. Wouldnt it be on the camo sude if it were from a Zelt ?

Derka, thanks for the unit identification.

          Bests Jens

The box is very nice. I have an identical one used by a Stabarzt who also served in Italy.

Great to see that there are still some great attic finds in Germany.

Very nice lot with interesting "field made" Italian camo pants.
More interesting is the rbnr stamped inside..
I don't think this one come from a reworked Zeltbahn made with captured
Italian camo cloth since those ones were IMO manufactured very late in the war.
If the Rbnr marking was applied specifically for these pants, it's logically
not a "field made" items and break clearly the rules about the fact, until now,
all the non-standart uniforms and caps made with camo cloth are never
marked.....If the piece shown here is original (and we havn't any reason to do not think so), one more time, concerning german militaria, we have to learn again and again and to be reasonably open minded in some case.

The fact that at least camo caps were factory produced and therefore marked is already known.

These are exactly my thoughts !! Also the fact that I have now seen many Italian camo pants in exact the same cut like my two first examples makes one think that they were factory produced.
As for the RBNr. I would take an Oath that it is period applied. I took them out of the wardrobe myself and there is absolutly no doubt that they lay there forever.

                              Fantastic items with history behind.

Jens I do hope that you will not mind if I placed my pair here. Same as two yours, has been found in Warsaw this summer and I purchased them few weeks ago from Friend.
